The examples presented in this catalog are members of a collection of pieces that share common alaments of design, pattern, color, and texture and that were woven, most probably between 17th and 19th centuries, in the region bounded by Konya, Karaman and Nevşehir in Central Anatolia.

Each one being a unique and original work of art, most of them having never been published before, all treated with modern concepts of concervation at textile museum and forming the most comprehensive group specific to this type and region, the collection appear as a unitary and coherent group.
